Red Oak Armoires

These cabinets of solid oak have a nice story. When the owners of the home that these two cabinets now reside in we’re having the house built, two Oak trees had to be taken down. The owners being environmentally friendly people were saddened by the loss of the oaks. They asked if I would build two armoires of the oak from their trees.

As a pleasant coincidence, both cabinets set approximately in the spot right above where the trees grew. 

The antique reclaimed hewn oak timbers make a nice frame for the armoires.
