Cannonball Bed

This colonial cannonball bed built of Tiger Maple is a great way to spend a night.

There are no squeaks or creaks because it is held together with mortise and tenon joinery and bed bolts.  

This bed is full size; works well as a Queen. I feel beds of this era lose something in appearance when done as a King.  

The finish is a dye stain with a hand rubbed varnish. 

The raised panel walls in this room are natural Cherry with a hand rubbed varnish. The floor is Antique yellow pine.
